BLACKPINK made history with their headline set at BST Hyde Park in London last night (July 2nd).

The K-Pop icons have already sold out London’s The O2 Arena, and turned their sights to a colossal one-off outdoor show. Rising to the challenge, BLACKPINK left smiles on the faces of all present with a pristine, pitch perfect, and exquisitely choreographed set.

Ably supported by Sabrina Carpenter, Mae Stephens, Rebecca Black and more, BLACKPINK headlined the iconic Great Oat Stage, playing more than 90 minutes of scintillating music.

In all, the show encompassed 17 massive hits, with BLACKPINK going through three – count ’em! – costume changes. Kicking off with the mighty ‘Pink Venom’, the four-piece charged through their catalogue, supplying fans with hit after hit.

‘Kick It’, ‘Pretty Savage’, ‘How You Like That’, and ‘Shut Down’ followed, while ‘Whistle’ – their first ever single – also made an appearance. Every move brought louder and louder screams from fans, some of whom had flown in to London specially for the concert.

“We didn’t expect this much energy from London,” they smiled. “London, what a nice breeze you have.”

The solo part of the show allowed each member of BLACKPINK – Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and, finally, Lisa – to showcase their skills. Jennie took on ‘You & Me’ and Jisoo opted for ‘Flower’, Rosé’s chosen track was ‘Gone + On The Ground’, while Lisa picked ‘Money’; the section was followed by superb dancing from first eight male dancers, then a troupe of eight female dancers.

‘Boombayah’, ‘Lovesick Girls’ and ‘Playing With Fire’ illuminated the finale, and then it was the turn of ‘Tally’ and ‘Ddu-du, Ddu-du’ to finish off the performance.

“We’re absolutely honoured to perform here at Hyde Park,” Rosé exclaimed. “It’s a dream come true!”

Closing to scenes of ecstasy in the crowd, BLACKPINK delivered yet another iconic moment to be cherished by fans.
