Animal Collective will release new album ‘Isn’t It Now?’ on September 29th.

The American experimentalists are continually creative, forever able to rejuvenate themselves and tackle different projects. 2022 album ‘Time Skiffs’ brought renewed praise, their strongest set of off piste pop songs in a decade.

Financial constraints restricted their touring abilities, but it seems Animal Collective used their time wisely – in amongst a myriad of solo endeavours, they’ve managed to complete a new unified record.

Out on September 29th via Domino Records, ‘Isn’t It Now?’ was recorded by Avey TarePanda BearDeakin, and Geologist, working alongside Grammy-winning producer Russell Elevado.

Clocking in at 64 minutes it ranks as the band’s longest album to date, although 22 of those minutes are occupied by previously released epic ‘Defeat’.

Available to pre-order now, Animal Collective toast the announce with imperious new song ‘Soul Capturer’ – tap in below.
