Angel Olsen’s ‘Forever Means’ Contains A Hidden George Harrison Salute

Angel Olsen has shared her new song ‘Forever Means’.

The songwriter’s wonderful 2022 album ‘Big Time’ pushed Angel Olsen to the limit, a project prompted by grief, coming out, and finding love. Lyrically, it was Angel at her most open, while often accompanied by her most beautiful arrangements yet.

New EP ‘Forever Means’ is out on April 14th, and the title song is online now. Typically enticing, the spartan arrangement places further emphasis on Angel Olsen’s wonderful voice, an instrument that effortlessly carries the evocative melody.

Online now, ‘Forever Means’ is coupled by some raw, intimate visuals. As a piece of music, the song seems to yearn for freedom and peace, and contains a hidden doff of the cap to George Harrison – the Beatle who took the group to India, and helped popularise Eastern religion for a generation of young people.
