Nia Smith Links With Popcorn For ‘Personal’

UK riser Nia Smith has shared a fresh take on her single ‘Personal’ – with help from dancehall icon Popcaan.

The emerging voice made her debut earlier this year, with Nia’s electrifying debut single ‘Give Up The Fear’ causing an immediate ruckus.

Follow-up ‘Personal’ dropped a few days ago, sculpted in the studio alongside Grammy-award-winner Jimmy Napes and Dom Valentino.

As a quick-fire move, she’s now shared a second take on the song – with a feature from Jamaican icon Popcaan.

A pivotal figure in dancehall’s global dominance, Popcaan is a CLASH cover star, and clearly a long-time icon for Nia herself.

She comments… 

“First feature is thee popcaan?! The song already had that island essence so it was only right to get one of my fav jamaican artists on the remix. As soon as his verse came in I was like “yeahhhh this is it”. it’s a lifestyle momenttttt.”
