Manchester showcase event Beyond The Music have confirmed a slew of details for this year’s instalment.
The multi-venue festival took control of some of Manchester’s finest hotspots for its inaugural outing last year, blending music, conversation, and future-facing ideas to gain widespread acclaim.
This year, Beyond The Music returns to Manchester, running between October 9th – 12th. Adopting the strap-line The Music Industry’s Great Reset, the festival aims to shake things up once more.
Hosted at the landmark new cultural venue run by Factory International, Aviva Studios, a slew of panels have just been unveiled, tackling Economics, Grassroots, Misogyny, AI, The Future of Music, Emerging Markets, and Classical, Hip Hop, and Electronic music.
Alongside this, the event will host a selection of Beyond The Music Talks that revisit the progress made since last year’s event including A New Dawn – The Live Music Update, #ENDTHEBURNOUT – The Mental Health Initiative, Green Bill of Health – The Industry’s Climate Update, The Tom Gray Address.
As ever, the musical component is key, with Beyond The Music taking over 12 of Manchester’s most-loved venues. Stage partners include CLASH – naturally – alongside This year, Beyond The Music’s stage partners include the likes of BBC Introducing, NQ, Manchester Pride, Nice Swan, and The South Asian Music Summit.
Further, the first wave of artists on the bill for Beyond The Music have been unveiled, including Blossoms Caldarone, Lazy Day, Slate, Martial Arts, Mellt, and Welsh wonder MINAS.
