South African sensation Tyla has shared the video for her single ‘Jump’.
The singer’s long-awaited debut album finally landed earlier this year, and it’s caused an absolute sensation. The moment of ignition for this vastly talented artist, Tyla blends afrobeats, Amapiano, pop, R&B, and more into a scintillating document.
At the moment of release, CLASH wrote:
Alongside this, though, is a desire to push the boundaries – both shockingly immediate and with immense replay value, TYLA’s debut album taps into the emerging energies of spring to produce one of 2024’s most insistent projects. The world is hers.
Album cut ‘Jump’ has become the breakout moment, a superb demonstration of fiery pop magic. Boasting features from Gunna and Skillibeng, the NABIL-directed video bounces between South Africa and Jamaica, with Skillibeng even constructing bonus bars exclusively for the video.
Tyla, as ever, say it best:
They ain’t never had a pretty girl from Jo’burg,
See me now, and that’s what they prefer
Dive in below.
