The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday announced Lori O’Connor as its new senior vp entertainment, digital sales and strategy, effective immediately. O’Connor has nearly three decades in the industry, with diverse experience across media, marketing, sales and data-driven solutions.

“We’re thrilled to add Lori to our team,” said Elisabeth Deutschman Rabishaw, executive vp, co-publisher of The Hollywood Reporter. “Lori’s unparalleled experience in the industry coupled with her deep relationships, skill and passion are evident, and we cannot wait to see what she brings to the role.” 

Prior to THR, O’Connor spent eight years as vp and general manager of entertainment at Simulmedia. During her time with the company, she leveraged her strong relationships and knowledge for the market as she worked across the company, including product, science, operations, sales and marketing, to develop best-in-class data-driven solutions for network, studio and streaming partners.

Before Simulmedia, O’Connor was publisher of TV Guide Magazine, where she oversaw advertising sales, research and marketing, leading the charge to push traditional advertising boundaries by creating engaging, organic and authentic experiences for advertisers and readers alike. During her tenure at TV Guide, O’Connor focused on creative, ROI-driven solutions and worked closely with television marketers and PR executives at all networks and studio partners to craft unique, customized multiplatform programs leveraging editorial synergy and driving awareness and engagement.  

O’Connor holds a bachelor of science degree in advertising from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and began her career on the agency side with stints at Grey Advertising and Draft FCB before transitioning to marketing and ultimately sales.

O’Connor will be based out of the Los Angeles offices and report to THR co-publisher Elisabeth Deutschman Rabishaw.
