This video is from a lesser known park in Bangkok (Thailand), and is another casual test of the vintage 70-210mm f3.5 Vivitar Series 1 zoom lens. We use a Sony Alpha 6500 camera with an in-house optical image stabilizer, and a K&F Concept Canon FD to Sony E adapter. A Sigma 16mm f1.4 contemporary lens is used for some wide angle shots to begin with.
The park is called His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary Park (สวนเฉลิมพระเกียรติ 80 พรรษา พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว). It lies by the Bangkok Noi river opposite the buddhist temple Wat Nai Rong, not far from Central Pinklao Plaza. We start with a few clips of park as we enter, as well as some footage of the boat life near Wat Nai Rong. Among the interesting sights is a giant Asian Water Monitor, one of the most common monitor lizards in Asia, lying on the bank of the artificial lake. A Pond Heron comes walking alarmingly close to the monitor lizard before jumping onto a rock in the artificial lake. Some students and people working in the park adds to the great atmosphere of the place.
