Edinburgh duo No Windows have laid out plans for new EP ‘Fishboy’.

The duo formed at school, with 16 year old multi-instrumentalist Morgan Morris and 18 year old vocalist Verity Slangen making music on a DIY basis. Out on November 25th, their debut EP follows a stellar performance at Connect Festival.

New song ‘Shout (Red Song)’ leads the way, inquisitive alt-pop with a dogged DIY aesthetic. Crafted in Morgan’s bedroom, it’s infused with different elements – Verity’s bittersweet vocal, the stark simplicity of the production, and the slight punk feel to the raw arrangement.

Morgan comments…

“Shout (Red Song) felt loud, thrashy and noisy – which to me felt most like the colour red. Red reminds me of things that are intense like anger or love which, and while neither of those things are explored directly, they feel present as an undercurrent in the melody and sonic set-up of the final recording.”

Tune in now.
