Niall McNamee has shared his new EP ‘Love Without Walls’ in full.
The songwriter was picked to work with film maker Jane Gull, composing the soundtrack for moving new film Love Without Walls. A diaristic view of a young couple – an aspiring musician and his wife – it shows how they lean on one another, trying to comfort each other as financial difficulties loom.
The fly-on-the-wall feel melds gritty realism with a touching sense of romance, with Jane Gull displaying a lyrical sensibility in the narrative construction.
In turn, Niall McNamee has composed a cycle of all-new material, showing his tender folk-hewn touch. Inspired by the likes of Christy Moore and Bob Dylan, his melodic instincts show the influence of Paul McCartney.
Expertly pieced together, the EP stands on its own right, illuminated by Niall’s impeccable touch. Breakout song ‘Step By Step’ has gained a following of its own, but the full EP is well worth seeking out.
Tune in now.
