Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom – Jikais Shrine Puzzle Guide
This shrine requires a mastery of the Ascend ability. Here's how to complete it.
As you explore Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will come across a ton of different shrines and puzzles. Located in the southeastern section of the map, near Mount Lanayru, you will discover the Jikais Shrine, with the puzzle titled “Jailbreak,” which requires you to move blocks and use the Ascend ability to complete it.
How to solve the Jikais Shrine Puzzle in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Upon entering the Shrine, you will see four movable blocks that you cannot climb, as well as a few holes in the wall. You will need to adjust the blocks in a way that you can use the Ascend ability to reach the top of the wall.
Use Ultrahand to move the bottom two blocks, so the higher one is close to the middle hole and the lower one is off to the right. Move the large block towards the right, so it’s directly underneath the hole on the left. Now Ascend up the middle block into the middle hole and jump down onto the large block on the left. Next move the block above it next to the hole and ascend up into the block. Walk into the hole in the wall and ascend to the top of the wall, completing this section.
The next section has a large pillar sticking out of the ceiling in the center of the room, with another pillar coming out of the ground on the left, with a movable flat platform. Before messing with this though, you should turn directly to the right to see a chest on a grated platform, which you can ascend up to.
Take the platform and rest it off the edge of the shrine, just far enough that you can reach the pillar to ascend up it without it losing balance and falling off the ledge.
You are now at the end of the shrine, but trapped inside a large cage that you cannot climb out of. There is a movable platform just outside the cage that you can grab with Ultrahand. You need to balance the platform on top of the cage in order to use ascend to escape. You will want to balance it on one of the corners, to reduce the risk of it falling.
