Matt Maltese Shares New Song ‘Florence’

Matt Maltese has shared his new song ‘Florence’.

The London-based artist is set to release his latest album ‘Driving Just To Drive’ on April 28th, with ‘Florence’ being the final song to be shared ahead of the full record.

An upbeat, piano driven track, ‘Florence’ rings true to Matt Maltese’s musical talents, which have been exhibited in his previous three albums and his recent singles, ‘Driving Just To Drive’, ‘Museum’ and ‘Mother’.

Speaking on the track, the singer reveals that it is a “pretty old song” written when he was “right at the precipice of anger and acceptance with loss, and with life changing a lot.”

“I’ve made a lot more peace with my greener, sincerer older songs that I wrote before I started making my first album, and songs like ‘Florence’ that have a multi-year gap between writing and recording often make for more interesting versions than the ones you write and record in the moment.”

Matt Maltese has amassed half a billion streams across all platforms and over six million monthly Spotify listeners. He is set to play international tour dates over May and June.
