Karl Lagerfeld Celebrates 100 Years Of Disney

Karl Lagerfeld commemorates Disney’s centenary with a unique, collaborative capsule collection. Centred on an image of Donald Duck dressed as and sketched by Lagerfeld in 2004, the collaboration is playful and bold but rooted in heartfelt affection between the two brands. 

Dressed in Karl’s signature blue jeans, a black jacket, a white collared shirt and dark sunglasses, the illustration was originally drawn for Donald Duck’s 70th birthday alongside a loving message from the late creative director that read “Dear Donald, 7 is a great number – 10 times 7 is even better! Happy birthday! Love, Karl.”

The hand-coloured sketch features on t-shirts, sweats, embroidered denim and various accessories throughout a collection that plays with the youthful spirit and soft sophistication of Lagerfeld’s eponymous brand.
