The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ has become Spotify’s most-streamed song of all time.
Chart Data keep an eye on the figures that matter, and it seems that Abel Tesfaye had a(nother) enormously successful year.
2022’s most-streamed artist on Spotify – a feat he previously notched up in 2015 and 2016 – The Weeknd’s current run also invigorated his catalogue.
‘Blinding Lights’ has become the platform’s most-streamed song of all time, edging out Ed Sheeran’s perennial ear-worm ‘Shape Of You’. In third place? ‘Dance Monkey’ by Tones And I. Truly, we live in strange times.
In all, ‘Blinding Lights’ has grabbed more than 3.332 billion streams on the platform.
