In The Round Festival returns to London’s Roundhouse next year.
The festival attracts a broad, expertly curated bill, invited artists to perform ‘in the round’ at the lauded venue – in the centre, completely surrounded by the audience.
It’s a neat concept, one that artists tend to thrive on. Returning next year, In The Round runs between April 15th – 25th, with initial names including Sona Jobarteh, Cam, Laura Veirs, UNQUIET: AFRODEUTSCHE & Manchester Camerata Ensemble, and the mighty guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela.
Roundhouse’s Head of Music Lucy Wood states…
“Audiences have unique and up-close experiences of music, whilst artists have the opportunity to present their work to a rapt, attentive crowd in a big, beautiful space” adding, “as well as intimate gigs in the Roundhouse Main Space, other activities – all rooted in music – will take place throughout the venue, in keeping with the ITR ethos of providing platforms for incorporative and diverse creativity to thrive”
Further events lined up for In The Round include a sound bath, In The Round Lates, and more. Tickets go on sale shortly.
